College of Technical and Vocational Training

The College of Technical and Vocational Training (CTVT) is one of the colleges housed at the BPSU Main Campus located at Capitol Compound, City of Balanga, Bataan. The College started as an institute, known as the Institute of Technical and Vocational Training  (ITVT) after the formerly Medina Lacson De Leon School of Arts and Trades  was converted into a college known as the Bataan Polytechnic State College (BPSC)through Republic Act 8562. Nine years later when BPSC  was converted into Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) through Republic Act No. 9403,  all of  its institutes were converted into colleges, hence the College of Technical and Vocational  Training (CTVT) was born, offering the traditional courses where the then formerly Bataan National School of Arts and Trades (BNSAT) was popularly known.

The college  was a recipient of various grants. It houses the machines and equipment from the Technical-Vocational Education project (TVEP) funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the early 80’s, the Philippine-Australia Technical Vocational Education project (PATVEP) in 1989 and the Deutsche Geseltschaft for Technische Zusammenarbelt (GTZ) in 2004.

The college was one of the 23 vocational schools throughout the country that has been selected to participate in the Technical Vocational Education Project (PATVEP) and one of the 9 vocational schools throughout the country to be selected in the Philippine-Australia Technical Vocational Education Project (PATVEP)

In 2004, the Automotive Department was recognized as Center of Excellence in Autotronics since the department was a recipient of various equipment, machines and tools from the Expansion  of Dual Education and Training  (EDET) project, amounting to more than P30M, including fellowship training of trainors and administrators abroad.

The college at present is under the deanship of Dr. Cesar C. Gonzales with Dr. Josefino A. Langas as coordinator.
